Last 16 May in Rome, the RECONOW project outputs and good practices on recognition were presented during the final conference of the MED MOBIL project on international mobility across the Mediterranean.
The training materials on qualifications recognition practices, the Palestinian and Jordanian National Reports on higher education and the improved university procedures on credit recognition were presented during a session attended by representatives of European and South-Mediterranean universities and local authorities, mobile students and delegates of networks and associations.

The good practices and the tools to improve the recognition of credits and qualifications developed in the framework of the Reconow project were presented during a session attended by representatives of European and South-Mediterranean universities, of the European Commission and the EACEA.

During the last project meeting before the final conference, the National Reports of Jordan and Palestine were finalised and will be published in November.

Many issues concerning the recognition of Transnational Education qualifications were presented and discussed by the project partners during the meeting.

One week of intensive training at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Ramallah is taking place during this week. After an on-line training course the Goverment officials can deepen their knowledge in diploma recognition issues, credential evaluation procedures and regulations and discuss on recognition and mobility with the trainers from the ENIC-NARIC centres of France and Italy.

Staff members from Jordanian and Palestinian partner universities, together with the Association of Arab Universities, train themselves during an intensive week in Bordeaux and then experience practical cases during the study visits at the University College of Cork, Université de Bordeaux and Università di Bologna in November.

After the successful completion of the on-line training course (May to July 2014) and a week of face-to-face training in Amman (September 2014) on diploma recognition issues, credential evaluation procedures and regulations, four government officials from the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Higher Education Accreditation Commission are now having a one-month internship in the ENIC-NARIC centres of France and Italy.

From September to October 2014, staff members from the Palestinian and Jordanian Universities will take part in an on-line course on recognition of academic qualifications and student mobility that will be followed by a face-to-face training hosted by the University of Bordeaux.

Representatives from the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will bring the RecoNow project as a good practice on development and improvement of recognition procedures of foreign academic qualifications at the 21st annual meeting of ENIC-NARIC networks that will take place in July 2014 in Rome.

From May to July 2014,16 participants from the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education, the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Jordanian Higher Education Accreditation Commission will take part in an on-line training on diploma recognition issues, credential evaluation procedures and regulations.
